Today's program featured a special in studio guest, Phil Leavitt the drummer and anchor of LA based band dada. dada burst onto the scene in 1992 with their debut recording Puzzle and national hit "Diz Knee Land".
dada is still thrilling audiences with their concerts often approaching 3 hours in length. Additional tunes included a tribute to Drummers with Batawande Olatunji, Cozy Cole, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Sandy Nelson, The Ventures, Preston Epps, J. Geils Band. and The Surfaris. We also had music from Dire Straits, John Lee Hooker, Van Morrison, Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna.
